When the street becomes an art exhibition
To explain and showcase a future urban development in Avignon, Citadis turned to the wooden box totems designed and marketed by Celize. This choice aligns perfectly with the “Avignon, let’s green our public spaces together” initiative.
Two specialists in urban environment
Founded by the Vaucluse Department and the City of Avignon, Citadis serves local authorities to bring their construction projects from concept to completion. It tackles urban issues from all angles, from creating eco-districts to restructuring old centers and rehabilitating entire areas.
Urban communication being one of Celize’s specialties, Citadis confidently turned to its teams to design a visible, attractive, and relevant exhibition.
An exhibition before work begins...
Before starting the redevelopment of Rue Thiers, Citadis wanted to raise awareness among residents about both the history of the neighborhood and its near future. Thanks to the double-sided totems display offered by Celize, it was able to combine these two aspects on a single communication medium.
Designed and manufactured for outdoor use, this man-height device attracts attention and easily encourages reading. Additionally, its wooden box provides seating, making it a complete piece of urban furniture fully integrated into the space. Without ground fixation, it can be placed in the most strategic locations and does not interfere with pedestrian or vehicular traffic.
...In line with the project's environmental goals
The transformations planned for Rue Thiers take into account more sustainable modes of transport and green areas featuring a variety of tree species. Celize’s totems reflect this logic due to their eco-friendly design (materials and finishes respectful of the environment).
They are also reusable since the visuals can be changed, easy to install and move while providing a robust and secure base. These wooden box totems thus perfectly support outdoor event communication.
