Deployment of a monumental forest on the Syctom construction modules

As part of the urban integration project of the Saint-Ouen sorting center, Syctom is completely decorating its construction modules with a monumental forest.

Construction communication on the urban integration project

The Syctom waste recovery center in Saint-Ouen-Sur-Seine is undergoing a comprehensive restructuring to increase its energy recovery performance and ensure the urban integration of its sorting center. To carry out this project, a set of Algeco construction modules, raised on three levels and called the “base life,” is installed on the site. Celize was tasked with embellishing this temporary facade, the “face of the construction site,” with a trompe-l’oeil vegetation module covering.

The construction site dressing consists of a dense monumental forest that promotes well-being and features a message: “In Saint-Ouen sur Seine, your waste has projects.”

This display communicates Syctom’s intention to integrate its sorting center into the urban landscape and its commitment to innovation.

Vegetal landscape, a symbol

The energy recovery center is located in the heart of an eco-district of housing and offices: the Docks of Saint-Ouen. The project, called “The Green Island,” aims to ensure the site’s perfect integration into its new environment by 2021.

This lush vegetal decoration covering the modules echoes this district and helps make the construction site more pleasant for residents.

Complete decorative covering from the hoarding to the modular buildings

To deploy this vegetal decor, Celize manages the entire project.

To complete the module covering, measurements are taken to establish a layout plan. A meticulous cutting of the visual is carried out to precisely cover each element of the facades. This cutting represents 250 files launched for printing on adhesive film, totaling 1500 square meters.

The four facades of the building are covered with adhesive film with a high level of finish for a neat aesthetic result. The glass parts are also covered with micro-perforated adhesive, allowing light to filter through to ensure user comfort. To make this vegetation impactful and integrated, the hoarding around the perimeter is also covered with a printed banner in continuity with the building.

The entire covering enhances the construction site’s attractiveness by offering a harmonious and grandiose visual ensemble, reflecting the future realization.
