The illusion of a façade decorates the construction site at 79 Avenue des Champs-Elysées
Groupama Immobilier, owner of 79 Avenue des Champs-Elysées in Paris, is restructuring the office floors of this iconic property. To dress up the façade, Celize designs and installs a large-scale trompe l’oeil visual. It features workers in action behind a trompe l’oeil veil of the façade.
Enhancing the building's architecture
Located on one of the world’s most prestigious avenues, the construction site presents an exceptional opportunity to enhance the property. This is why Dumez Ile-de-France, responsible for carrying out the work, has tasked Celize with designing a decorative covering to enhance this Art Deco-style building.
Bringing the façade to life during construction
Celize features, in the foreground, a veil mimicking the building’s façade in trompe l’oeil. This extraordinary veil is pulled by silhouettes of workers to conceal the office renovations. The second plan features a cross-sectional view of the architect’s plans. It highlights a key element of this exceptional property: its double-turning staircase, listed as a Historical Monument.
This advertising banner for scaffolding also integrates the shops located at the base of the building to maintain their visibility during the work.
Implementation of the large-format covering
To successfully complete this decorative covering, the Celize team fully manages the operational part of the project, from the creation of intervention plans to the handling of the administrative aspect. The covering is custom-designed to completely cover the scaffolding structure. Once fully renovated, the premises will offer contemporary, bright, fully connected work and social spaces, meeting the highest market standards.
