When eco-responsibility and functionality rhyme with construction site dressing

The Port-Lauragais Sud highway rest area on the A61 between Toulouse and Carcassonne is being renovated. To maintain an aesthetically pleasing stopover during the construction, TotalEnergies and the Signature group turned to Celize’s expertise in construction site dressing.

The Claude Nougaro rest area revamped

The Port-Lauragais Sud highway area is undergoing renovations. Drivers will see its new look in the first half of 2022, with improvements in environment, comfort, and hospitality for travelers. The area currently features a route and statue dedicated to Claude Nougaro, showcasing his life through photos, collages, and illustrations.

A new “Discovery Space” will also be introduced, replacing the current shop, focusing on four themes: the Canal du Midi, the wind, pastel, and local Lauragais products. Celize has been inspired to maintain the site’s welcoming feel throughout the construction.

Reflecting a new identity through signage

Celize’s challenge was to design a quick, eco-friendly display solution that aligns with both the surrounding environment and TotalEnergies’ CSR approach. The chosen solution was an eco-responsible hoarding made from FSC-certified wood.

This approach also included high-quality signage to help users navigate easily. Practical information is highlighted with simple, clear pictograms and appropriate dimensions, accompanied by directional signage. The module proudly features the new visual identity of the company, extended by the landscape imagery. This aligns perfectly with TotalEnergies’ ongoing ecological transition.

A southern-inspired dressing

Celize’s team successfully met the project’s demands and objectives in a short time. Technical constraints and TotalEnergies’ aspirations for sustainable development and communication were taken into account. The result is a high-definition print, specifically designed for outdoor exposure (including UV treatment).

The hoarding reveals a graphic design by Celize, immersing the observer in a Mediterranean-inspired landscape. You can almost smell the lavender swaying in the wind. Additionally, the installation of such a communication support adheres to strict safety standards.
