Decorative covering of the iconic Four Seasons Hotel George V
Just steps from the Champs Elysées, the prestigious Four Seasons Hotel George V plans to build orangeries in the courtyard. Pradeau Morin, in charge of the project, entrusted Celize with the decorative covering of the construction site both outside and inside the hotel.
A monumental courtyard covering
The entire decorative covering of the construction site is designed in close collaboration with Pradeau Morin and PYR, an interior designer specializing in luxury hospitality.
In the courtyard, Celize dresses the immense temporary structure with monumental mirrors. The mirrors reflect the hotel’s exceptional architecture while making the structure almost imperceptible.
To cover the roof area, Celize creates a French garden in trompe-l’œil printed on a large-format banner. The view of the courtyard from the rooms retains all its charm.
An exceptional trompe-l'œil decoration
A temporary partition covering the entire height is installed to obscure the view of the courtyard. To maintain the charm of the place, Celize creates a trompe-l’œil by replicating the wall moldings on a banner.
The printed banner is then meticulously applied to cover the entire partition. The covering integrates seamlessly with the decor.
