Quodam: A responsible approach for sustainable and committed construction site communication

With the help of partners, Celize supported the real estate group Quodam in the creation, installation, and enhancement of its construction site communication. This upcycling project is part of Quodam’s ethical and responsible DNA.

Enhancing construction site communication

Founded in 1957, the SAEM* Quodam ensures, among other activities, the management, maintenance, and renovation of real estate complexes, supported by a team of 16 people.

As part of the work for the new premises of its subsidiary VSG Immobilier, Quodam called on Celize for a custom creation.

The project involved the creation and installation of a printed banner, placed on a wooden hoarding covering the construction site.

This installation, in Quodam’s brand colors, made the construction site pleasant for residents while communicating about the neighborhood’s transformation during the work and the project’s final outcome.

Installed at the end of 2019, the hoarding remained in place throughout the work until early 2021. At the end of the construction, the Quodam team considered recycling and reusing the wooden hoarding and the banner. The challenge was to quickly remove 70m² of banner (almost intact) and its wooden structure without waste.

For this initiative, Celize recommended Bilum, a company recognized for its expertise in waste revaluation and recycling. The Quodam team, sensitive to environmental issues, found in Bilum a partner sharing common values. Valuing this communication to transform it into useful objects came naturally!

Upcycling for a second life

After recovering the banner, Bilum took care of its cleaning, cutting, and manual transformation into over 200 goodies (bags, passport covers, tags, cases…). These items will be offered to Quodam employees and VSG Immobilier clients during events.

As for the wood used for the project, it contributed to the cohesion among Bagneux residents around a collaborative project! It was recovered by the solidarity carpentry association Extramuros. From this, the association built a cabin for a shared garden with the tenants.

This complete and meaningful revaluation for Quodam is consistent with other daily initiatives and actions (workshop projects for tenants, recycling bins in the agency…). This project, fully aligned with Quodam’s CSR approach, was also a team-building moment with the involvement of several employees.

Thank you to Quodam for their trust throughout this project and congratulations to the teams involved!
