TROMPE-L’ŒIL BANNER / CANVAS

The trompe-l'oeil banner/canvas

Renovating a city monument or restoring a landmark presents a perfect opportunity to highlight its facade, its history, and its future appearance. By installing a trompe-l’œil canvas/banner on scaffolding, you not only maintain the visual integrity of the structure but also create an excellent means of communication and information.

A communication tool for both local authorities and companies

Whether you are a city hall or a private company, dress up your scaffolding during construction work is a fantastic opportunity to communicate. The decorative aspect of a trompe-l’oeil banner minimizes the visual impact of your construction sites. A large-format canvas also allows for easy and immediate identification of the project’s stakeholders by displaying their logos in an unusual size. If you have multiple scaffolding structures in different locations, using this communication medium consistently creates coherence and graphic harmony between them.

As owners of monuments or buildings under renovation, you enhance both your heritage and your image. The advertising message blends with the architectural interest of the project. What better way to visually disseminate your information? Main streets, squares… it’s impossible to miss! The visibility obtained is optimal.

Integrate your construction sites into their environment with the trompe-l'oeil banner

Trompe-l’oeil, as its name suggests, is the art of creating the illusion of reality from a distance. We reproduce the existing structure by enhancing and even sublimating it.

A design that combines elegance and utility

The installation of scaffolding often temporarily "disfigures" the facade on which it is erected. By choosing a trompe-l'oeil banner, you reverse this process. You even optimize the construction site by transforming it into a visual communication opportunity. It becomes an object of attraction and interest. The entire structure naturally integrates into the urban space and blends in. The facade under renovation is camouflaged while capturing public attention.

A large-format banner that enhances the existing structure

Beyond its aesthetic aspect, a facade banner offers extraordinary visibility due to its format. The impact is multiplied. Pedestrians and residents are intrigued. Sometimes, it’s a way to draw attention back to a building, marking its rebirth. By frequenting a neighborhood, we tend to forget or neglect our surroundings. A large-format banner print changes this "routine" and anonymity in the urban landscape. It marks a before and after. The announcement effect is striking and creates anticipation and impatience for the renovation result. This communication medium facilitates the transition and prepares for the change.

A construction site communication that mitigates its duration

Some construction work can take months or even years. Landmarks or buildings are significant tourist attractions. By visually reproducing the site's outdoor, a trompe-l'oeil banner maintains the facade's attractiveness during the work. Visitors still appreciate the beauty of the place and take photos. If accompanied by a scenography, the visual printed on the banner offers a new creative vision of the building. It can allow one to project into history, adding an unexpected and original touch to the edifice. The temporary nature of the trompe-l'oeil canvas becomes an event in itself. Innovate, surprise, and stand out through your construction site communication!

Trompe-l’oeil banner dress up referrals

Celize has put its expertise at the service of numerous local authorities and private companies who have entrusted it with the sketch, manufacture, and installation of their trompe-l’oeil banners. This was the case for the renovation of the Rose of Soissons Cathedral, the scaffolding of the Troyes City Hall, or the prestigious Hôtel Negresco in Nice. At 79 Avenue des Champs-Élysées in Paris, Groupama Immobilier commissioned Celize to create and install a custom large-format trompe-l’oeil. A special staging was designed, combining worker silhouettes and the emblematic character of the heritage. The obtained effect gives the impression that the banner is being removed to reveal the building underneath.
